This quaint eatery is a beloved staple among locals and visitors alike, offering a delightful array of dishes that beautifully blend traditional Chinese fare with classic Canadian twists.
As you enter Wong's, you'll be greeted by the comforting aroma of expertly prepared dishes, each crafted with care and an eye for flavor. It’s clear from the first bite that the menu is a celebration of both Chinese and Canadian culinary influences. Indulge in their Wong's Specials, where dishes like the Orange Chicken and Ginger Beef tantalize the taste buds with their perfect balance of sweetness and savory depth. For those who lean towards heartier favorites, the Honey Garlic Ribs offer a melt-in-your-mouth experience that will leave you craving more.
If fried rice is your comfort food of choice, Wong’s offers delightful options like Shrimp Fried Rice and Beef Fried Rice, generously portioned and bursting with fresh ingredients. Reviewers rave about the Chicken Balls, which many state are nothing short of outstanding—an iconic dish in the landscape of Canadian Chinese cuisine. As John Lozinsky aptly puts it, “go for the authentic Prairie Chinese,” and you won't be disappointed.
Wong's is not just about excellent food; the dining experience here is enhanced by warm, attentive service that makes every meal feel special. Diners like Thiessen Karakochuk commend the restaurant for both its big portions and reasonable prices, making it an excellent choice for a satisfying family meal or a casual dinner with friends. The welcoming atmosphere invites you to linger over your meal, enjoying each bite in the charming, bustling environment that reflects the spirit of Kelliher.
And while takeout is popular for lunch, as noted by Yvonne Desjarlais, nothing beats the experience of dining in—where you can savor the tradition of flat white rice alongside your main dish, a detail that many places overlook. Whether you're rolling through town or looking for a beloved local spot to enjoy a well-crafted meal, Wong’s is definitely worth a visit.
Planning a night out? Don't forget to complement your meal with one of their refreshing beverages, like a classic Hot Chocolate or a fizzy Soft Drink, making your experience at Wong's not just a meal, but a memorable culinary journey.
So, if you're in Kelliher and craving delicious Chinese food with a Canadian flair, Wong's Restaurant is your answer—where great food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable moments converge.

Great small town Chinese restaurant. Given, the Chinese fare is not based on any specific regional cuisine (though leans more towards Cantonese cooking). They feature great Canadian Chinese items such as Orange Chicken, Chop Suey, and Chicken Balls, but also have more Cantonese items such as Egg Foo Yung. The "Canadian foods" are pretty underwhelming. Just go for the authentic Prairie Chinese-Canadian items. You won't be disappointed! Portion sizes are stellar. You won't leave hungry.

Absolutely superb dining. Portions are big prices are great and the taste is outstanding. All acompanied by excellent service. Located in the heart of the bustling town of kelliher, this restaurant is home to the provinces most beloved chinese food. Ive taken countless dates here and they all loved it. Best chinese and western food without a shred of doubt in the whole country, and possibly even the entire world.

Rolling through Kelliher we decided to stop in on a Canadian Classic, the small town Chinese restaurant. The chicken balls were outstanding and numerous. We ordered three dishes for two people and got way more than we were anticipating. This is as Canadian as it gets, thanks to the Chinese.

Excellent food! Tasty! Huge portions! And my favourite? They still hold tradition of adding that side of white, plain rice! You know how many restaurants have stopped or charge for that??! We’ll be back!!
